The Moipu feed rollers have found their present design through years of development work. The development has generated the feed wheels that improve the harvester’s productivity and working quality.
Thanks to the good grip of the Moipu rollers, the harvester feeding speed and precision are improved which in turn increases the harvester’s productivity. The excellent grip also allows the operator to use decreased grip pressure which reduces harvester fuel costs and damage to tree trunks.
PLATE WHEELS
The patented Moipu feed rollers are designed to be very user-friendly. The rubber underneath the steel plates dampens the vibration felt in the base machine. The steel plates over the rubber also protect the rubber from wear since it is not subjected to traction stress (the steel plate traction power is transferred to the wheel rim through the side plates, not to the rubber). The Moipu feed rollers are service-free, reducing the machine downtime.
The Moipu rollers have been successes in many international tests measuring the working quality and feeding speed of rollers. The working quality of the rollers is widely accepted. The rollers have also proven their suitability for the feeding of special quality trees (for example, the furniture and log industries find the working quality of the Moipu rollers acceptable).
